Gary C. Sherwin has been named senior vice president of client services for Amies Marketing Inc., an Irvine advertising and public relations firm. He was previously director of marketing communications for the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Fort Worth, Tex. He also served as the bureau’s interim executive director, overseeing all tourism and convention marketing efforts for the area. Before that, he was news bureau manager for the Palm Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau.
