BATTLING THE MEDFLY

Los Angeles County will conduct aerial spraying of malathion in two areas tonight from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., weather permitting. Fog forced the helicopters to stop spraying after 9 square miles were completed Monday night.
Area: One section covers Azusa, Bradbury, Duarte and parts of Glendora, Irwindale, Monrovia and San Dimas in the San Gabriel Valley. The other covers parts of Los Angeles and Orange counties, including parts of La Habra Heights, Rowland Heights, Brea and La Habra.
Precautions: Stay indoors; keep animals indoors; wash animal dishes and toys left outside; cover cars; keep doors and windows closed.
