Estefan Leaves Hospital: Singer Gloria Estefan, promising she would soon be back performing at 100%, left New York’s Orthopedic Institute Hospital for Joint Disease on Wednesday, two weeks after a bus crash broke her spine. Estefan, 32, faced reporters, cameras and hospital workers from a wheelchair, but then ended her news conference by standing, unaided. Doctors have estimated her full recovery could take up to six months.
