Asian Pacific Awards Dinner Is Friday

Local leaders who have contributed significantly to the Asian Pacific community in the San Gabriel Valley will be honored at the third annual Asian Pacific Family Center’s awards dinner Friday in Montebello.
Guests will include county Supervisor Edmund D. Edelman, honorary chairman for the event, and Joanne Ishimine, KABC-TV anchorwoman, who will be the mistress of ceremonies.
Proceeds from the dinner will go to the center, which staffs multilingual psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and community workers.
The Asian Pacific Family Center is the only multicultural mental health clinic for Asians and Pacific Islanders in the San Gabriel Valley.
The dinner will begin at 7 p.m. at Quiet Cannon restaurant, 901 Via San Clemente, Montebello. Tickets are $40 to $100 per person. For more information or tickets call Sharleen Tso at (818) 573-3322.
