Wish You Were Here (TMC Wednesday at 3:55 a.m.): David Leland’s rapturously good 1987 British feature introduces us to teen-age actress Emily Lloyd, whose performance as a cheeky 15 year old in a staid English town in 1951 is one of those extraordinary fusions of actress and character that defy you to pry them apart. Her Lynda is a diabolically tricky role: we must love her, put up with her flamboyance, watch her throw herself at horrifyingly unsuitable men, understand her motives and cherish her--all at the same time.
