Driver Found at Hospital, Arrested in Hit-Run

IRVINE — An 18-year-old Irvine motorist who allegedly left his friend pinned inside his car after it ran off the road and slammed into a tree was arrested Friday on suspicion of felony drunk driving and felony hit and run, police said.
Nathan Matthew Christian, 18, was arrested at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center, where he had sought treatment for minor injuries he suffered in the crash, said Irvine Police Lt. Robert Lennert.
His friend, Douglas Garold Graves, 18, also of Irvine, was listed in serious condition at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo.
