SANTA PAULA : Gunman Kills Man, Shoots 2nd in Back

Santa Paula police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed one man and seriously wounded another at an apartment building Saturday night.
Gary Ramirez, 25, of Ventura died about 1:45 p.m. Sunday at Ventura County Medical Center after being shot in the abdomen, Sgt. Gary Marshall said.
Robert Ortiz, 23, also of Ventura, was in stable but guarded condition at the hospital after being shot in the lower back, Marshall said.
Officers were called to the apartment in the 100 block of Santa Ana Street at 11:04 p.m. Saturday, Marshall said.
