Three suspected gang- or drug-related shootings occurred late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, police said.
The first occurred at 11:04 p.m. in the 10800 block of Macouba Place when an argument erupted between two groups of teen-agers. The youths had gathered at an outdoor high school-sponsored carnival when the fight began. One youth was shot in the buttocks.
About an hour later, a shooting occurred at Broadway and 12th Avenue when a 26-year-old man was shot in his left leg in what police believe was a drug deal gone sour.
At 2:30 a.m. Sunday, several people were injured in a drive-by shooting in the 700 block of South 30th Street. A group of people were standing outside when they were fired upon by one or more people in a passing vehicle, Sgt. Michael Gibbs said. Three people were wounded in their legs.
The Police Department’s gang detail is investigating the three incidents.
