Rosh Hashanah Closes Beverly Hills Schools

Schools in the Beverly Hills Unified School District will be closed today and Friday for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year. City offices will remain open.
Rosh Hashanah, which began at sundown Wednesday, is followed by the 10 Days of Awe, a traditional period of prayer and atonement, that ends with Yom Kippur, on Sept. 28.
