Dell to Fight Texas Instruments Suit: Dell Computer Corp. said a patent infringement lawsuit filed against it in federal court in Dallas by Texas Instruments is without merit and that Dell would fight it. A Texas Instruments spokesman said the suit involves its microprocessor system, which is the brain that helps a computer perform its functions. Royalty payments for patents have become a major source of revenue for Texas Instruments.
