LOCAL : Arms Cache at Lancaster Farm
A cache of weapons--including guns, grenades and an anti-tank rocket launcher--was seized at a boarded up farmhouse in Lancaster and two men were arrested after sheriff’s deputies followed up on a tip from an informant, authorities said today.
Investigators believe the farmhouse in a secluded area of the 3500 block of East Avenue J-8 may have been intended to be used as a drug lab, but it was unknown why such a large stockpile of weapons was kept there, Deputy Mary Landreth said.
Chris Sundahl and Edward Coleman, both 40-year-old Lancaster residents, were arrested on suspicion of possession of explosive devices and were being held in lieu of $70,000 bail each at the sheriff’s Antelope Valley station.
