World’s Dumbest Escapee Candidate

SYDNEY, Australia — A convicted burglar who escaped from prison in a laundry truck was recaptured when he tried to visit a former cellmate today.
Darren Quinn, 19, on the run since Sept. 12, went to Fremantle prison and filled out a visitor’s request form asking to see his friend. He used a false name and dyed his hair red but was recognized immediately by prison officers.
“It just wasn’t his day,” a Western Australian police spokesman said.
