Fillmore 37, Western Christian 6--Anthony Chessani scored one touchdown and blocked a punt out of the end zone for a safety to lead the host Flashes. Tory Cabral led Fillmore with 156 yards n 18 carries and scored once.
After shutting out its first two opponents, Fillmore allowed a touchdown when Western Christian’s Binari Williams scored from four yards in the second quarter. On the ensuing kickoff, Cabral handed off to Ray Garnica on a reverse for an 83-yard touchdown.
Fillmore quarterback Art Sosa, who also starts in the Flashes’ defensive backfield, intercepted two passes. Val Padillo gained 51 and scored once in 11 carries for Fillmore.
