Chacon Points Fullerton to Victory

FULLERTON — Fullerton High School running back David Chacon scored two touchdowns and added three extra points to lead the Indians to a 21-13 nonleague victory over El Dorado Thursday night at Fullerton.
Chacon scored on runs of two and three yards, the last coming with 1 minute 28 seconds remaining in the game to give Fullerton its final margin of victory.
The Indians (4-0) scored on their first possession, going 44 yards in five plays and scoring on Jim Peterson’s 17-yard run with 7:40 left in the first quarter.
El Dorado scored the tying touchdown after Bill Harrell recovered a fumble at the Fullerton 26-yard line. Five plays later, quarterback Jason Bluth scored on a 13-yard keeper.
El Dorado had a first and goal inside the Fullerton three-yard line late in the first half. On their fourth-down attempt, the Hawks fumbled at the one as time ran out.
Fullerton scored on its opening possession of the second half, driving 68 yards in 10 plays with Chacon scoring from two yards out.
