Times Mirror, La Opinion Complete Deal: Times Mirror Co. has completed its purchase of 50% of Lozano Enterprises, which owns Los Angeles-based La Opinion, the nation’s largest Spanish-language daily newspaper. In addition to La Opinion, Lozano Enterprises owns El Eco del Valle, a weekly tabloid distributed in the San Fernando Valley. Terms of the partnership transaction were not disclosed. Times Mirror owns the Los Angeles Times, among other media properties.
