Westchester : Loyola Car-Pooling Plan

More than 100 of nearly 800 faculty and staff members at Loyola Marymount University are leaving their cars at home and car pooling to work to save energy and reduce pollution.
Ray Hilyar, the school’s director of public safety, said car pooling was organized at the school in response to Air Quality Management District regulations aimed at reducing car travel.
Employees who participate in the program are given choice campus parking spots and free parking permits. In addition, participants are provided free transportation in cases of emergency.
