St. Paul 16, Chaminade 0--St. Paul’s Shawn McKinney ran for 95 yards in 14 carries and a touchdown to help hand visiting Chaminade (1-3-1, 0-2) its second league loss.
Chaminade fell behind, 9-0, in the first half after two drives were stopped by Eagle fumbles. St. Paul (1-3-1, 1-0) added sophomore Brian Sweet’s 21-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter.
Travis Hall, Chaminade’s leading rusher (11 yards in eight carries) and receiver (four receptions for nine yards), threw a 26-yard option pass to teammate Andrew Krekorian to give Chaminade a first down at the St. Paul nine-yard line in the second quarter. But the Eagles fumbled three plays later.
