In the other Division 2-A semifinal:

Los Alamitos 10, Mater Dei 8--Stefanie Springosky and Meredith Valt swept in doubles to lead Los Alamitos (18-2) at the Costa Mesa Tennis Club.

In a Division 4-A semifinal:

Corona del Mar 13, Dana Hills 5--Keri Phebus, Corona del Mar’s No. 1 singles player, defeated her three Dana Hills (20-2) opponents, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0, to lead the Sea Kings (21-2) in a semifinal match Thursday at Dana Hills. Corona del Mar, the two-time defending champion in the division, faces top-seeded Palos Verdes (20-0) for the title at 9 a.m. Tuesday at The Claremont Club.

Palos Verdes 12, Capistrano Valley 6--Angie Arias and Lisa Shulga swept, 7-6, 6-3, 6-3 for host Capistrano Valley (17-5). Page Bartelt won the only two singles that the Cougars won, losing to Nicole London, 1-6, defeating Janet Lee, 6-4, and defeating Michelle Fountain, 6-0.
