American Airlines to Add Flights: The carrier said it will add 23 flights in San Jose this spring as part of an expansion of its hub there. More than half will be added between San Jose and five California cities--Burbank, Los Angeles, Ontario, San Diego and Santa Ana. The move comes less than two months after American decided to reduce service in California. An American spokesman said the build-up is intended not only to bolster its San Jose hub, but also to fill gaps that will be created when USAir pulls out of some markets later this year.
