Officials with the county medical examiner’s office said Friday that a man slain earlier this week has been identified as Roberto Torres Valdobinos, 36, a Mexican national. He was killed Tuesday in San Marcos.
Valdobinos, a gardener, was allegedly shot by a man known only by the name of Valencio, who remains at large, Sheriff’s Department officials said. The shooting occurred in the home of Jeffrey Loevenguth, in the 1000 block of Twin Oaks Valley Road, officials said.
The two men had met Loevenguth at a bar in San Marcos. The group then went to Loevenguth’s home, where Valencio reportedly shot Torres while Loevenguth was in another room.
