CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : MODESTO : Ex-Mayor Charges Campaign Violation

Former Modesto Mayor Peggy Mensinger has charged Stanislaus County Supervisor Ray Simon with campaign law violations in his successful reelection bid against her last year. Mensinger announced that she had filed six charges with the state Fair Political Practices Commission. The complaint includes charges that Simon delayed reporting $3,000 in contributions until after the primary.
