A California Harvest: Harvest Restaurant and Bakery, based in Colorado, said Tuesday that it plans to open its first California restaurant in Irvine. The eatery, which specializes in a health/nutrition menu, will open today in the Market Place center on Campus Drive.
Randy Pike, president of the Harvest Restaurant and Bakery Development Corp. in Englewood, Colo., predicted that the restaurant will thrive because it is close to UC Irvine and to the expansive housing tracts in the area. The company operates three restaurants and three fast-service locations in Colorado.
