Tracy Murray Deserves Praise for His Attitude

If we’re going to criticize the Don MacLeans for their court antics, let’s not forget to praise the Tracy Murrays. Murray, who has all the talent and competitive spirit of MacLean, always maintains composure on the court. Murray is a terrific role model for young players and deserves to be praised as such through the media. That’s how role models are established.

Picking on MacLean serves little purpose. Given the competitive and pressure-consumed environment of collegiate athletics, MacLean’s behavior is common; Murray’s demeanor is extraordinary. He is a credit to college basketball and UCLA.
