Jordan, Santa Barbara to Clash in State Playoffs

Jordan High School, which won its first CIF Southern Section title last Saturday by defeating Millikan, 69-67, hopes to take another step toward a possible state championship tonight.
The Panthers (24-6) will play Santa Barbara at Long Beach City College in the second round of the Division I Southern California regional state boys basketball tournament.
Jordan advanced Tuesday night with a 72-68 victory over Westchester.
Millikan’s season came to an end Tuesday night when the Rams (24-6) lost to Fremont, 77-59.
In Division II, Artesia (27-2) defeated Riverside North, 61-45, as DeAndre Austin, Andre Jones and Charles O’Bannon combined for 50 points.
Wayne Merino’s Pioneers won the Southern Section II-A title last Saturday by defeating Woodbridge, 58-40. It was Artesia’s second consecutive CIF title.
Artesia will play Oceanside El Camino tonight at Gahr High.
