Carter Hawley Bondholders Seek Committee: U.S. Bankruptcy Judge James R. Dooley will consider a request on March 21 to establish a second creditors committee in the Carter Hawley Hale Stores bankruptcy case. Holders of $350 million in Carter Hawley bonds, who already are represented on the existing unsecured creditors committee, are seeking to form a separate group. Michael S. Lurey, a lawyer for the investors, noted that bondholders are owed more money than other unsecured creditors but have only three seats on the 13-member unsecured creditors committee.
