LA HABRA — A woman killed in a fire that destroyed her home Friday night was identified by authorities Saturday as 42-year-old Jolayne Geldien.
Geldien’s husband and teen-age son, Lawrence, escaped from the burning one-story house, said La Habra Police Sgt. Kevin Raisch.
Both suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to Friendly Hills Regional Medical Center in La Habra, where the youth remained in stable condition Saturday.
The husband, who was not identified, was treated and released.
Geldien was found dead Friday night by firefighters battling the fire in the 300 block of Ashley Circle, Raisch said.
The fire, started by a combustible material, broke out about 10:20 p.m. Friday, Raisch said.
