Hold the ‘Jack’: Black ministers in Houston asked the district attorney Wednesday to temporarily ban “New Jack City” until Warner Bros. researches the effect the film about drug dealers is having on urban black youth. Warner Bros. had no immediate comment, but director Mario Van Peebles has said the movie was made to show young people that drug dealing and gang membership holds no future.
