Man Shot to Death After Loud Argument on Street

A man was shot and killed after a loud argument with his killer in the Westlake area, and investigators said Wednesday the slaying could be drug-related.
The victim was seen and heard arguing with his killer outside some apartments in the 600 block of South Bonnie Brae Street Tuesday about 9:20 p.m. Moments later, up to five shots rang out and witnesses saw a man running away.
The victim, tentatively identified as ex-convict Alberto Martinez, died on the operating table at Good Samaritan Hospital, Detective Guadalupe Luna said.
