OXNARD : Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Pickup

A 58-year-old Oxnard man died shortly after a pickup truck hit him while he was crossing the street, police said.
Carlos Trevizo was crossing Stroube Street near Vineyard Avenue at 8:20 p.m. Saturday when he was struck by a pickup truck driven by 32-year-old Katy Roman of Oxnard, Police Sgt. Jeff Young said.
Police were not certain if Trevizo was walking in the crosswalk.
Trevizo was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center, where he died in surgery, Young said.
Roman was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter, Young said.
