STREET OF DREAMS: “Singing Cowboy” Gene Autry (above) may get a street named after him in Anaheim, where his baseball team plays. City officials have asked the county to help pay for a bridge over the Santa Ana Freeway that would extend Pacifica Avenue. It would also make it a major route that directly links the Convention Center to Anaheim Stadium. . . . A county transportation official says the city wants to name the street after Autry but not just yet. Why not? “Because the street just dead-ends,” says the official.
