Turtle Mania: Worried that small fry might be drawn into dangerous storm drains by visions of fun with the sewer-dwelling Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Encinitas officials issued a warning to parents Thursday to stress that sewer exploring “is a dangerous activity.” They only have circumstantial evidence so far--a few tennis shoes and sneaker prints found in storm drains--but city officials want to halt any further ventures.
