Hollywood Fete for Gulf Vets

In response to “Hollywood Salute to Gulf War Vets Draws Some Fire,” April 22:
If I had any lingering doubts that there are parallels between the ancient Roman empire and our own, Hollywood’s projected triumph has sent them packing. In addition to parading Patriot missiles on May 19, Johnny Grant might show off Iraqi prisoners shackled to captured tanks.
I can’t wait to see what the Kuwaiti tribute will be. Is it the fuel to keep “jets streaking across the sky” in this and future triumphs of Pax Americana?
I welcome home the troops with all my heart, but I won’t watch your parade.
