Itel Corp.: The Chicago-based company reported a first-quarter loss of $16.1 million, contrasted with a profit of $4.5 million in the same period a year earlier. Revenue fell 8% to $437.7 million. The company, which leases transportation equipment, blamed the loss on continuing interest costs associated with its minority investments in marketable securities.
