Sri Lanka Rebel Kills 5 With Exploding Boat

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — A Tamil rebel in a high-speed boat packed with explosives rammed a Sri Lankan patrol boat, killing five sailors and injuring eight in the blast, the military said Sunday.
The officials said the attacker was believed to be a member of the Black Tigers, the suicide squad of the Tamil guerrillas. They did not say whether he died in the attack Saturday night off Point Pedro.
