New York’s 22nd annual Lesbian and Gay Pride March crowded more than 500,000 marchers and watchers along a five-mile stretch of the city’s most fashionable thoroughfare. The march down 5th Avenue followed a bright lavender line painted especially for the occasion. Police reported few disturbances during the march and said there were no arrests.
