Wake Up to Toons: Muppet tykes vs. Bryant Gumbel? That’s what morning TV may look like next fall when, for the first time in years, ABC’s “Good Morning America,” NBC’s “Today” and “CBS This Morning” might face cartoon rivals on some Fox-affiliated stations. The new Fox Children’s Network said this week it plans a September start of a one-hour weekday morning cartoon show, starting at 7:30 with Jim Henson’s “Muppet Babies.”
