PLACENTIA : School Board May Restore Programs
- Share via
Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District trustees will hold a special meeting Monday to discuss the impact of the recently passed state budget on school programs.
Trustees are expected to consider reinstating some programs that were cut when the district’s $92-million budget was approved last month. School officials told trustees that their budget could be revised after the state budget was approved.
School officials have hoped they will be able to restore programs and rehire employees after making $9 million in cuts. Last month, councils at each school prepared “priority lists” of programs that they would like to see restored, if funding became available.
Board members will also vote on items delayed at a regular meeting on Tuesday.
The meeting will be held at 9 p.m. at the District Education Center, 1301 E. Orangethorpe Ave.
