Pro-Pakistan militants killed more than 100 Indian troops in a surprise attack on an army convoy in the disputed Kashmir state, Pakistan said. The official APP news agency said the 350-vehicle convoy was ambushed on the Srinagar-Jammu highway. A Defense Ministry spokesman in New Delhi said he had no information about such an ambush. If confirmed, it would be the most devastating attack by militants in a 19-month-old rebellion against Indian rule over most of Kashmir.
