New Electric Cars Generate a Lot of Input
- Share via
Three articles and thousands of words on the wonders of electric cars, but not one single word on where all that electrical energy will come from. Still more oil? On the following day (Aug. 8) there was another article, “Power Plant Agrees to Stiffer Smog Curbs,” concerning “a huge Arizona power plant whose emissions obscure . . . the Grand Canyon.” (Again, no indication of the type of fuel--presumably coal). Electric cars will in no way eliminate the continued burning and depletion of fossil fuels, any more than a Stanley Steamer “runs” on water.
