MISSION VIEJO — Three teen-agers were arrested Friday and held on suspicion of murder in the shooting death of a man whose body was found in a brushy area off Trabuco Creek Road.
Damien Allan McKenna, 19, was found shot in the head on Sept. 6, his car parked nearby alongside the road, Sheriff’s Lt. Bob Rivas said.
Arrested Friday were Jonathan Lee Freshour, 19, and a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, neither of whom were identified because of their ages. All three are from Mission Viejo, Rivas said.
Deputies said McKenna may have been a transient; his last known address was in Mission Viejo.
Freshour was held in Orange County Jail; the others were taken to Juvenile Hall. Rivas said the suspects apparently knew one other.
No weapon was found, and the motive remains under investigation, he added.
