About 7,500 marijuana plants were found by authorities Thursday in a remote area of Angeles National Forest, north of Glendora.
Investigators received a tip last week about the pot farm, Los Angles County Sheriff’s Deputy Bill Linnemeyer said. No arrests were made. Linnemeyer said the plants, some as tall as 15 feet, were airlifted to a hillside area in the Tanbark Flats region of the forest, where they were ignited and burned for four hours.
Officials said the plants could have produced marijuana with an estimated street value of $37.5 million.
