Robert E. Hallagan has been elected president and chief executive of Heidrick & Struggles, a Chicago-based executive search firm. Hallagan, 48, joined the company in 1977 and served as managing partner of the firm’s Boston office since 1981. He succeeds Ronald E. Geravas, who resigned in September.
