Warners Gets a ‘Life’: Robert De Niro and Ellen Barkin were announced Monday by Warner Bros. as the stars of “This Boy’s Life,” a film adaptation of Tobias Wolff’s autobiographical novel that tells of a young man who travels across the country with his recently divorced mother in the 1950s and is profoundly affected by his strict stepfather. Leonardo DiCaprio, the 17-year-old actor who plays the homeless youth on ABC’s “Growing Pains,” is cast as the young man. Production starts in Vancouver in February.
