Continental, Creditors File for Extension: Continental Airlines and its creditors committee sought a filing extension for the carrier’s bankruptcy reorganization plan, saying the two sides may be able to agree on a joint plan. Continental had faced a Thursday deadline for filing its own reorganization plan. The extension request was filed late Monday with U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Helen Balick in Wilmington, Del. With creditors working with Continental on a plan, the company said an extension until Feb. 6 would speed up the reorganization.
