COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Randolph’s 30 Points Spark SCC Over Bethany for Fourth Victory

Southern California College continued its strong basketball start with a 103-76 victory over Bethany College in a men’s nonconference game Monday at Southern California College.
Keith Randolph had 30 points and 13 rebounds, both game-highs, as Southern California College improved to 4-0. Randolph, a 6-foot-4 forward, scored 22 points in the second half. Randolph was 14 of 20 from the field.
Rick Witmer scored 10 of his 13 points in the first half as SCC opened a 50-35 lead.
Edmond Johnson scored seven points and had a team-high eight assists for SCC, which plays at Christian Heritage tonight at 7:30.
Bethany is 2-3.
In nonconference women’s basketball:
Pepperdine 78, UC Irvine 61--Yvonne Catala scored 15 points before fouling out and Kathy Lizarraga scored 14 points for UC Irvine (0-1). Kelsey Kline and Nikki Brodowy scored 12 points for Pepperdine (1-1). Aimee McDaniel, a Brea-Olinda graduate, added 10 points for the Waves.
