Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Arts Plans Studies on Children

The College of Arts at Cal Poly Pomona has opened the Institute for the Study of Children and Youth, an interdisciplinary effort to study the physical, psychological, social, cultural and historical aspects of childhood.
The institute will study interaction between children and their parents over a four-year period. Special emphasis will be placed on minority children and children who have been in the country less than two years.
The research will be conducted with children in the Pomona Unified School District.
