Mater Dei Wins Toss; Playoff Game Site Up in Air

Mater Dei won a coin toss and will play host to Loyola in the Southern Section Division I football semifinals Saturday night at a site to be determined Monday.
With the Orange County Bowl scheduled late Saturday afternoon at Orange Coast College and a band review scheduled Saturday afternoon and evening in Santa Ana Stadium, the teams will likely play at Cerritos College. The teams met four weeks ago in Angelus League play and Loyola won, 28-20.
Top-seeded Eisenhower will travel to Veterans Stadium in Long Beach Friday to play Long Beach Wilson in the other Division I semifinal game. Kickoff for both games is 7:30 p.m.

Friday--Division II: Dana Hills (8-1-3) at Compton Dominguez (10-2); Division III: Esperanza (12-0) vs. Montebello Schurr (10-2) at Montebello High; Division VI: Tustin (11-1) vs. University (6-5) at Irvine High; Division VII: Santa Maria Righetti (8-4) vs. Laguna Hills (8-3-1) at Mission Viejo High; Division X: Rosamond (10-2) vs. Southern California Christian (10-2) at El Modena High.
Saturday--Division II: Irvine (10-2) at Pasadena Muir (8-4); Division III: Los Alamitos (10-2) vs. Newhall Hart (9-3) at College of the Canyons; Division VI: Woodbridge (8-2-1) at Valencia (12-0); Division VII: La Mirada (10-2) at Trabuco Hills (7-4-1); Division X: Calvary Chapel (10-1) vs. Sun Valley Village Christian (6-5-1) at Granada Hills Kennedy High.
