Commercials Fit the Crime

I was appalled and outraged at two of the commercials shown during CBS’ “48 Hours” (Nov. 6) investigation of the tragic Killeen, Tex., mass shooting. The first one depicted violent “shoot-em-up” scenes with a male character spraying bullets to advertise a film called “Perfect Crime.” The second, at the end of the program, advertised a film called “Above the Law” and was much the same. The clear implication was that mass shootings are exciting entertainment. Be sure to tune in. Be sure to watch.
