5 Youths Arrested in Anti-Graffiti Move

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said Monday that they arrested five more Antelope Valley youths on suspicion of spraying graffiti in Palmdale, bringing the total to nine arrests since the department began an aggressive anti-graffiti crackdown a week ago.
Two 14-year-old Palmdale boys were arrested Monday morning after a nearby resident said he saw them writing gang graffiti on a wall at the Antelope Valley Auto Center.
A 17-year-old Pearblossom youth was arrested at Littlerock High School for several “tagging” incidents last week.
On Friday night, deputies arrested two 17-year-old Palmdale youths for allegedly tagging a building.
One was arrested on suspicion of vandalism, the other after allegedly trying to hit security guards with his car.
All the youths were released to their parents and face Juvenile Court proceedings.
