Pacific Quarterback Kopp Selected to Big West Conference’s First Team

Troy Kopp, a quarterback from the University of the Pacific and Mission Viejo High School, was selected to Big West Conference first team, it was announced Monday.
Fresno State quarterback Mark Barsotti and Pacific running back Ryan Benjamin were selected the co-offensive players of the year by the conference’s coaches as well.
Utah State inside linebacker Del Lyles and Fresno State free safety Marquez Pope share defensive player of the year honors, and Fresno State Coach Jim Sweeney and Utah State Coach Chuck Shelton were selected co-coaches of the year.
No Cal State Fullerton or Cal State Long Beach players made the first team.
Cal State Fullerton volleyball player Becky Howlett was selected second-team All-Big West Conference, it was announced Monday.
Antoinnette White of Cal State Long Beach was selected player of the year, and Long Beach’s Brian Gimmillaro was coach of the year.
Fullerton’s Heather Schoeny was an honorable mention selection, and teammate Stacey Stanek was named to the all-freshman team.
